His influential editorials shaped government policies, while his research aided renowned organizations like Dow Jones, CRISIL, and CIDCO.
Shri Chaturvedi’s integrity was legendary. His famous credo, "I have never sold my pen to a liar or voted to my personal advantage," embodies his unwavering ethics. His remarkable contributions earned him numerous accolades, including an honor from former President Dr. Abdul Kalam at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

China's real estate industry once flourished with rapid growth, optimizing resource flows and capitalizing on the nation's booming urbanization. However, this aggressive expansion soon led to unforeseen consequences. Mega-cities, once bustling with promise, are now filled with empty buildings—ghost towns, as demand failed to keep pace with construction. What went wrong in this high-stakes race?
Is India Heading in the Same Direction?
With India’s real estate market showing signs of similar aggressive growth, there are concerns about repeating China’s mistakes. Urbanization is on the rise, and cities are expanding rapidly. However, the key question remains: will demand continue to meet supply, or will we face the same fate of oversupply?
What Needs to Change?
India must learn from China’s experience. The focus must shift from rapid construction to sustainable growth, with careful planning based on actual demand and population trends. A balanced approach, backed by research, is vital for long-term success in the real estate sector.
Get insights from renowned faculty members to understand the critical shifts required for India's real estate future.
