The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has launched a unified Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) portal on September 4, aimed at tackling one of the real estate sector’s biggest challenges — stalled and delayed projects. The new portal promises to provide a single, searchable national database of registered projects, promoters, and agents, giving homebuyers, investors, lenders, and regulators a streamlined way to check project status and regulatory compliance.
One-Stop Platform for Real Estate Data
The portal, accessible at rera.mohua.gov.in, integrates listings from state RERA websites into one unified platform. It allows users to:

Arun Kumar, Chairman of RERA, emphasised the need for seamless coordination with state regulators. “We will provide all information that the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs requires,” he said, stressing that timely and accurate uploads from state RERA bodies are critical for the portal’s success.
Union Housing Minister Manohar Lal Khattar hailed the initiative as a major leap forward in strengthening transparency and accountability in the sector, adding that it will enable quicker detection of non-compliance and faster regulatory action.
