The Gujarat Real Estate Regulatory Authority (GujRERA) has introduced new hybrid hearing guidelines to streamline the complaint resolution process, particularly in the context of hybrid hearings. An order dated July 23, 2024, outlines the necessary details that parties involved in cases must provide, ensuring efficient communication and speedy disposal of cases.

The initiative to incorporate hybrid hearings—combining in-person and electronic mediums—aims to facilitate quicker resolution of disputes under the GujRERA. To address potential challenges associated with hybrid hearings, GujRERA has mandated that specific information be provided by all parties involved, including their legal and financial representatives. According to the order, all parties, along with chartered accountants, company secretaries, cost accountants, legal practitioners, and power of attorney holders representing them, must submit a comprehensive set of contact details. These details include a mobile number, email address, communication address, and, where applicable, a certificate of practice number. This information must be included in the prescribed Memo of Authorization, referred to as Annexure A in the order.

The requirement aims to ensure that all participants can be easily reached for communication, facilitating a smoother and more transparent hearing process. It also underscores the importance of accountability and professionalism among the representatives of the parties.

In addition to the details required from representatives, the order specifies that complainants must also provide detailed communication information at the time of filing a complaint. This includes data as per the communication memo detailed in Annexure B of the notice.
