Government of Maharashtra from its State Housing Department has issued instructions to landlords/ house owners to postpone rent collection by at least three months. During this period, no tenant should be evicted from the rented house due to non-payment of rent.
The circular issued by the Housing department on 17th April 2020 and was published on CMO official twitter handle.

Government has given unnecessary leverage to chronic defaulter licensees in many cases. This will open a can if litigations once normalcy returns.
