The Kerala Real Estate Regulatory Authority (K-RERA) has unveiled its newly revamped website, https://rera.kerala.gov.in, aimed at providing prospective buyers with accurate information on real estate projects across Kerala. The inauguration of the website, which features a GIS-enabled platform and a property exploration tool, was officiated by Minister for Local Self-Governments M.B. Rajesh.

The website’s innovative property exploration tool enables potential buyers to easily locate apartments, villas, and commercial spaces in any district of Kerala. This user-friendly feature enhances convenience and streamlines the search process for interested buyers, ultimately helping them make informed decisions.

The revamped website is designed to benefit both prospective buyers and promoters of real estate projects. By offering accurate and reliable information, it protects potential buyers from falling victim to fraudulent practices. For developers, the website presents a commercial opportunity by promoting transparency, accountability, and credibility in the real estate sector.

Minister M.B. Rajesh emphasizes the importance of the website in providing a trusted platform for buyers and builders alike. He acknowledges the role of transparency in encouraging buyer confidence and facilitating fair business practices. The revamped website aims to achieve these objectives while also opening up new avenues for commercial growth.

The website draws its data from the mandatory documents submitted by property developers during project registration. These documents include building plans, permits, certificates of registration, approvals, sanctions, completion and occupancy certificates, and title deeds. By accessing this comprehensive information, buyers can track the progress of projects, both physically and financially. Additionally, the website provides details about the background and track record of developers, as well as any litigation associated with the projects.

To develop this enhanced website, K-RERA collaborated with Xocortx Advanced Systems, a company registered with the Kerala Startup Mission. This partnership ensures the incorporation of advanced technological solutions to deliver an efficient and user-friendly experience.

The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act of 2016 mandates that state regulators establish a web-based online system for project registration applications. After launching an online portal in 2021, K-RERA has now introduced the modified and feature-rich revamped website, catering to the evolving needs of the real estate industry.

During the inauguration, K-RERA Chairman P.H. Kurian, members Preetha Menon and M. P. Mathews, Secretary Sheeba Rani, IT Division Head Rahul Chandran, and Director of the Gulati Institute of Finance and Taxation K. J. Joseph were present, demonstrating the collective commitment to fostering transparency and growth in the real estate sector.

The revamped website of K-RERA serves as a valuable resource, providing accurate and comprehensive information to prospective buyers. By promoting transparency, accountability, and credibility, it contributes to a more reliable and trustworthy real estate market in Kerala.
