Much needed releief announced by Finance Minister today to give relief to common men the country to fight the war with deadly Corona Virus. Relief package announced by the Union Finance Minister Smt Nirmala Sitaraman today is unprecedented as the nation is under threat by deadly Corona Virus. The relief package of ₹1.7 lakh crore will help the nation deal with disruptions from the Covid-19 outbreak.

Measures such as cash transfer, insurance cover, ensuring food security and the decision to provide free LPG cylinders for 3 months to all the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana will give relief to millions of poor and ensure that no one in the country goes hungry, she stated.

Dr Niranjan Hiranandani, President – Assocham & NAREDCO ecstatically welcomes the relief package announced by the Hon’ble FM. He said that, “at a time when the nation is struck with natural disasters and grappling with Pandemic crisis, Govt of India announces Rs 1.7 lakh crore relief packages for the poor and marginalized segments of the society. These initiative aims to provide a buffer & facilitate the basic needs of economically weak people who have no other means of being shielded from the crisis.

Mr. Kamal Khetan, Chairman and Managing Director, Sunteck Realty Ltd said “In the light of economic slowdown due to Covid -19 pandemic, the government is moving positively to support India Inc. Today’s announcement by honourable Finance Minister on relaxations of rules for TDS, GST and corporate compliances were a much-needed respite. The industry is now eagerly awaiting the proposed economic package, which we believe would be sufficient and consequential to mitigate the anticipated spiral blow on the economic activity.”
