According to DC rules of BMC, every building must keep, 10% of the total parking space, free space for visitors parking. But you will find every building, residential or commercial, puts a bold signage on the gate slapping their announcement saying “ Outsider’s vehicle not allowed, parking for member only”.
Security guards take sadistic pleasure in refusing you to enter with your vehicle, and if you do so they will drag you out with very inhuman manner as if some terrorist have entered their premises.
The DC rules for parking says “ For Residential:
(A) In Malabar Hill, Cumballa Hill Fort and Colaba areas in South Mumbai, Pali Hill, Bandra, Juhu – Vile Parle Development Scheme, Sassoon Dock and Jagmohandas Marg ( Nepean Sea Road) : One Parking space for every (a) Tenement with a carpet area upto 45 sq.m. (b) 2/3 tenement with carpet area exceeding 45 sq.m upto 100 sq.m. (c) ½ tenement with carpet area exceeding 100 sq.m.
Note: In addition to parking space specified in (a), (b) and (c) above, parking spaces for visitors shall be provided to the extent of at least 25 per cent of the number stipulated above subject to a minimum of one.

High-rise buildings, residential complexes, commercial complexes and corporate buildings, especially in Bandra Kurla Complex are having multiple vehicles per occupants. In one house there are four such vehicles resulting in chaos in the society every day. The society then allot parking space on rotation.
In BKC, ICICI Tower, IL&FS, Laxmi, Madhava, Keshva and other buildings just refuse to allow any outsiders vehicle. And the situation is same for almost all the complexes in Island city, its suburbs and extended suburbs.
