The Maharashtra Government issued a Notification on July 10, 2024, under the Maharashtra Public Service Rights Act, 2015, pertaining to the Maharashtra Regional Planning and Town Planning Act, 1966.
The notification lists the public services to be provided, along with the time limits, the responsible office, designated officer, first appellate officer, and second appellate officer. The services and their respective time periods are as follows:
– **Issuance of zone certificate in regional plan**: 7 days
– **Providing map of area in regional plan**: 3 days
– **Issuance of drawing permission/non-agricultural and building permission** under Section-18 (1) (iii) of the MRTP Act, 1966: 60 days
– **Granting construction permission** according to standard construction maps in small size official plots (as per Government instructions dated January 3, 2015): 7 days
– **Permissibility of increased mat area index** by levying a surcharge for various building uses under the “Agriculture and Non-Development Division” as per Section-18 (1) (iii) of the MRTP Act, 1966: 30 days
– **Issuance of Occupancy Certificate**: 21 days
– **Changes in land use** by levying a surcharge as per regional plan proposals approved under the MRTP Act, 1966
– **Issuance of part maps/zone certificates** of the development plan of the Special Planning Authority: 7 days
– **Granting various development/building permits** within the limits of the Special Planning Authority: 8 days
– **Issuance of completion and Occupancy Certificate** for ongoing construction permits within the Special Planning Authority limits: 8 days
This notification aims to streamline the process and ensure timely delivery of these public services.
