The Andhra Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (APRERA) conducted an extensive awareness programme in Ongole to educate stakeholders about the provisions and implementation of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 (RERA). The initiative aimed to improve awareness about legal compliance, transparency, accountability, and investor protection within the real estate sector.

The programme witnessed participation from project promoters, real estate agents, engineers, architects, chartered accountants, town planning officials, and investors, highlighting APRERA’s commitment to strengthening regulatory compliance and promoting responsible real estate development across Andhra Pradesh.

APRERA Emphasises Importance of RERA Compliance

Addressing the gathering, APRERA Chairperson Are Siva Reddy, along with Director GVGS Prasad and other authority members, explained the key provisions of the RERA Act and the responsibilities of various stakeholders.

The Chairperson emphasized that RERA has transformed the real estate sector by introducing transparency, accountability, and greater protection for homebuyers and investors. He stated that strict adherence to the provisions of the Act is essential for maintaining trust and confidence in the real estate market.

According to APRERA, compliance with the law benefits not only buyers but also genuine developers by creating a more transparent and regulated business environment.
